Cancellations, Refunds & Exchanges
All sales are final. If a patron is unable to attend their scheduled performance, we can exchange their tickets for another performance of the same production pending availability provided they contact us before the date of their performance.
There is a $2 processing fee to exchange tickets. (Season subscribers and COR Patrons can exchange tickets for free). Please contact our box office at 612-615-1515 as soon as you know that you’ll be unable to attend. We cannot exchange tickets if a patron requests an exchange on the date of their scheduled performance.
If we are unable to exchange your tickets, we will convert the value of your tickets (minus processing fees) to a donation to the theatre and issue you a tax-deductible donation letter.
Late Arrivals
Patrons are expected to arrive AT LEAST 5 – 10 MINUTES prior to the scheduled start time of the performance, but we encourage you to arrive even earlier. Every attempt will be made to seat late arrivals; however, late seating is not guaranteed, nor can we guarantee that if you are seated after the performance has begun that we will seat you in your reserved seat assignment. Please arrive in plenty of time to avoid disruption of the performance. In the case of a sold-out show, we reserve the right to re-sell any vacant seats after the appointed performance start time.
Seating & Ticket Vouchers
Seats for all regular season play performances are assigned. Season subscribers get early access to purchase tickets for the season and therefore have the first pick of seats.
If you are using a ticket voucher to book tickets, please call our box office at least 48 hours in advance of the performance you wish to attend in order to secure your seat(s): 612-615-1515.
PLEASE NOTE: All patrons must have their tickets scanned prior to entering the theatre auditorium. Our lobby & concessions area will open 60 minutes prior to showtime in Season 8 (2021-2022) and the auditorium will open 30 minutes prior to showtime.
Age Limit & Disruptions
Our minimum age is 4-years old for most performances (with the exception of our summer children’s play), and some shows may have a higher recommended age due to intense or mature subject matter.
Open Window Theatre welcomes families to our productions; however, if your child is disruptive during the performance (including talking) we ask you to please be considerate of the performers and other audience members by exiting with the disruptive child to the lobby. Our house manager will attempt to re-seat you once the disruptive behavior is resolved. Management reserves the right to remove any person(s) causing disruptions in the theatre in order to ensure a pleasant experience for all patrons.
Accessibility
Open Window Theatre is accessible to patrons with limited mobility. Please notify us in advance if you or someone in your party has limited mobility or will be attending in a wheelchair so that we can make proper seating arrangements ahead of time. Unfortunately, Open Window Theatre does not yet provide ASL or hearing-impaired services — we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Food & Drink
Concession items are permitted inside the theatre auditorium but patrons are asked to refrain from eating during the performance. Chewing and handling wrappers can be disruptive to both the performers as well as other patrons.
