CRIME AND PUNISHMENT

Dostoevsky’s Crime and Punishment is crime thriller meets Karl Marx and Jesus Christ. Grounded in the realistic context of a St. Petersburg slum, the anti-hero Raskolnikov commits murder as a sort of experiment. “Have I the right to murder?” he wants to know.

One of the most extraordinary novels of all time gets inside the mind of a starving, destitute student who brutally kills an old woman and pawnbroker, embarking on a cat-and-mouse game with the examining magistrate. As his guilt and alienation from society intensifies, only Sonya, a prostitute and, like him, a social leper, offers any hope of redemption.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL

Back by popular demand! Ebenezer Scrooge has no time for Christmas or the Christ in this audience-favorite adaptation of Charles Dickens’ holiday classic, featuring such beloved carols as “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen,” “O Come All Ye Faithful,” “Silent Night,” and more.

Last season, all 24 performances were 90% sold-out by opening night, and then we sold-out completely about one week into the run. So don’t wait to get your tickets this year! Even though we have 30 public performances on the calendar this season, they are sure to sell fast.

Also returning this year is our expansive Christmas display, spanning 4,000 SF of combined space! Our walk-through Christmas displays get bigger and better every year, and are included with every show ticket.

THE GIVER

Following the success and critical acclaim of his other original saint dramas (Mercy Unrelenting, Lolek, Frassati, Nicholas), Open Window Artistic Director, Jeremy Stanbary, brings the incredible story of Joan of Arc to life in his most anticipated saint drama to date.

Cutting through the darkness and depravity of her times, and in the face of tremendous adversity, this unknown teenage peasant girl would go on to lead armies of men, winning decisive victories both militarily and spiritually, changing the course of the Hundred Years’ War and leaving an indelible mark on the French nation, on the Church, and on human history down to our very day.

Utilizing his unique storytelling methods, Stanbary explores the heart and soul of Joan and her times, telling her story on stage like never before.
