Michael Conroy, Wilbur Foshay

Michael Conroy is an actor and singer making his Open Window Theatre debut with Foshay! The Musical. Favorite past credits include; Moonshine Abbey and Catholic Young Adults: The Musical with Missed the Boat Theatre, Singin’ In The Rain at Lakeshore Players Theatre, She Loves Me and Legally Blonde at Artistry, Christmas in the Airwaves and You Can’t Take It With You at Lyric Arts, The Tempest with Nebraska Shakespeare, and Tartuffe and Melancholy Play at his alma mater Creighton UniversityUp next: Halo, It’s Me at Seasons Dinner Theatre.

Yvonne Freese, Leota Foshay

Yvonne Freese is a musician, actor, puppeteer, writer and creator past credits include; Mystery Science Theater 3000’s Mega Synthia and voices and puppeteers GPC on national tours and on the recently released Season 13. Garrison Keillor’s A Prairie Home Companion, CoCo’s Barrio Podcast Teatro del Pueblo, High Fidelity Minneaoplis Musical Theatre, Chicago Avenue Projects at Pillsbury Playhouse, Stage’s Fancy Nancy, Prometheus Bound  Uprising Theater, Rigoletto  Really Spicy Operapuppeteer with Open Eye Figure Theatre, Mad Munchkin, Phantom Chorus and Big Animal Productions. Joshua Meltzer, Henry Henley

Joshua is happily making his Open Window Theatre debut with Foshay! the Musical. A performing artist who’s recently relocated to Minnesota, he loves directing and dramaturgy when he’s not onstage. Local credits: Lyric Arts — Something Rotten!; Morris Park Players — Ragtime. Favorite Las Vegas credits: Majestic Repertory Theatre — Sweeney Todd; Super Summer Theatre — Chicago, She Loves Me; Signature Productions — Fiddler on the RoofThe Scarlet Pimpernel; Las Vegas Little Theatre — Avenue Q. You may have also met him as Cosimo the Singing Gondolier at The Venetian Resort.

Kyle Camay is a local actor and singer who is making his Open Window Debut! You may have seen Kyle in Analog & VinylStriking 12, and Hands on a Hardbody with Minneapolis Musical Theatre, Ride the Cyclone with Emerging Professionals Ensemble, It’s a Wonderful Life with The Zephyr Theatre or The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at the University of Minnesota.

Sammi Penick, Genevieve Clark/Bernice Henley/Multi-roles

Sammi Penick is excited to be making her Open Window debut with Foshay! Performing credits include: Disney Cruise Line (Ariel, Cruella de Vil, Bo Peep), Tokyo Disneyland, Hairspray, Chicago, Annie, and The Sound of Music at Allenberry Playhouse, Sister Act at Riverside Center, I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change at Black Dirt Theater, and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Anna Murphy, Music Director/Pianist

Anna Murphy is a Twin Cities-based music director, pianist, violinist, and immigration paralegal. Credits include: Something Rotten, Smokey Joe’s Cafe, Bright Star, She Loves Me (Lyric Arts); Be More Chill, Toxic Avenger (Minneapolis Musical Theater); White Christmas (Lakeshore Players); The Last Five Years (Really Spicy Opera); Seussical, 42nd Street (Pinewood Bowl, NE). Anna is also a music director and teaching artist at Stagedoor Manor in New York.

Kevin & Lynn Bowen, Playwrights

Kevin Bowen is a playwright and songwriter living in Eagan, Minnesota. He also works as a professional graphic designer at Bowen Design (www.kevinbowendesign.com), which he started and has operated since 1995. He is a member of the Playwright’s Center and the Minnesota Association of Songwriters. Starting in 2009, his plays and musicals have been produced and staged throughout Minnesota.

Lynn Bowen has written 3 previous plays with her spouse Kevin. Foshay! was her first exposure to the wonders of musical theatre. She would like to thank Kevin for sharing his vision and sometimes ‘wild ride’ with her.

Amanda Weis, Director

Amanda Weis is a Twin Cities-based stage director, mezzo-soprano, and voice instructor. Select Stage Directing Credits: A Christmas Carol (adaptation premiere) at Open Window Theatre, Rigoletto with Really Spicy Opera Company, Don Giovanni (assistant director) with the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival, Ghosts Behind the Glass with Journey North Opera Company, and Daddy Long Legs with Minneapolis Musical Theatre. Kathryn Humnick, Stage Manager

Kathryn is the Box Office Manager at Open Window Theatre and has stage managed many shows at OWT since 2020. She’s also an actress, having performed onstage in Season 8’s Leaving Iowa in addition to performing many voiceovers in George Orwell’s 1984. Most recently she stage managed our critically acclaimed productions of Nicholas and Mercy Unrelenting in Season 9.

Lauren Volkart, Assistant Stage Manager

Lauren previously stage managed both The Originalist and Our Town at Open Window Theatre last season, along with Leaving Iowa in Season 8, and has assisted with multiple other OWT productions. Lauren also serves as the Event Volunteer Coordinator for OWT and is thrilled to have a space where her passions in administration, theatre, and community-building can work together within the mission of Open Window.

Nate Farley, Set & Props Designer/Lead Scenic Artist

Nate has been with Open Window Theatre since Season 2 and is now our resident designer and scenic artist. Nate is a Librarian by day and a freelance designer/actor by night. He was last seen on the Open Window stage in our production of Leaving Iowa in Season 8. He also shares his many talents with a variety of other theater and film companies in the area, in addition to serving as the Resident House Manager here at Open Window.

MaryBeth Schmid, Costume Designer

MaryBeth Schmid has designed costumes for OWT’s recent productions of Leaving Iowa, The Originalist, Nicholas, Mercy Unrelenting, Our Town, and now Foshay. She is excited to be designing costumes for the youth production of Wonka at OWT in August.

Alex Clark, Lighting Designer

Jeremy Stanbary, SFX Designer/Producer

Jeremy began his career as a vagabond. He toured professionally with his original dramas both nationally and internationally from 2003-2011, after which time he and his wife Sarah founded Open Window Theatre. We’re happy to be hosting the world premiere production of Foshay the Musical as a special event this summer.

William Brueggemann, Composition Arranger

William Brueggemann is a Minnesota native who has written music for film, television and video-games as well as theater and concert music. In 2017 his choral setting of ‘Reunion’ by Chue Thew Yang was performed at the Ordway Center For The Performing Arts and has since been performed in schools across the state of Minnesota. William holds an MFA in Music Composition For The Screen and upon moving to Los Angeles began working for EMMY winning composer Mark Isham (’42,’ ‘Miracle,’ ‘October Sky,’ ‘Once Upon A Time,’ Judas and The Black Messiah’). William has worked as Isham’s Composer Assistant and Score Coordinator on the recently released LeBron James biopic ‘Shooting Stars,’ as well as the television shows ‘Justified: City Primeval’ and ‘Godfather of Harlem.’  William’s soul/pop duo ‘Ember Willow’ can be found on Spotify, Bandcamp and Apple Music.
